JTBF Original Data

We launched the JTBF Traveler Trend Survey on traveler behavior and awareness in 1998 to gain an understanding of the overall state of the tourism market. We currently maintain two surveys, the JTBF Travel Attitude Survey and JTBF Traveler Trends Survey to provide society with statistical data over the mid to long term.

We have been conducting a survey on tourism policy for local public organizations since FY2014. Furthermore, based on previous results to date, we revised the survey in FY2018 to use a uniform set of questions to the extent possible for prefectures and municipalities.

Through the Tourism Resources Evaluation Committee, comprised of academics and professionals in the tourism and travel domains, we reevaluate tourism resources while experts in tourism, travel, and different regions steadily prepare overviews and highlights on specific tourism resources.

Through this joint research with the Development Bank of Japan Inc., we are conducting the DBJ and JTBF: Survey of Tourist Travel to Japan from Asia, Europe, the United States, and Australia. We are also conducting the JTBF Inbound Travel Product Survey to gain an understanding of characteristics and trends for inbound travel products.
